何謂
IELTS

為The
International English Language Testing System
的簡稱，中文為國際英文測驗系統，開始於英國針對海外留學生而作的英語能力檢定測驗。
IELTS
注重學生在專業範疇內須具備之英語能力的測驗，所以許多學校鼓勵學生參加
IELTS 考試。
IELTS
的考試成績為英國、加拿大、澳洲、紐西蘭等英語系國家之學校均認可。
IELTS
的成績分為聽、說、讀、寫等四個項目分別計分，四項平均分數為正式成績，不過學校，均會要求四個項目的單項成績不得低於多少分數，以免影響教學與學習。
IELTS
每個月均舉辦1~2次考試，成績證明擁有一年效期，學生必須隔3個月才能再考第二次。

IELTS
在上列英語系國家之各大城市均設考試場所，在當地每所學校均可得到考試時間及考試場地之相關資料。當地學校及教職人員亦會協助學生取得有關資料。
在學生語文課程學習階段，學校均設有IELTS
考試準備課程，教導學生盡速通過考試(進入IELTS準備課程之前學生英文程度需達到一定標準)

的考試亦在世界各國均設有考試場地。

測驗時間總計2小時45分
聽力測驗
Listening
測驗時間30分鐘
測驗方式分為四大主題，每大題先給您半分鐘將題目及預選答案流覽一次，測驗完畢後再留半分鐘檢查答案。
測驗題數，四大題合計約有四十小題。
寫作測驗
Writing
測驗時間60分鐘
測驗題數：為兩篇作文第一篇作文依考場提供之題目至少150個單字。
第二篇作文以Reading某篇文章部份發表自己的想法及經驗，最少需250個字。重點是能分析，提出自己的論點，比較評估正反的意見。
口試測驗
Speaking
測驗時間15分鐘
測驗方式由口試老師跟您作一對一口試。重點在瞭解考生能否正確運用文法與字彙及溝通的技巧。
閱讀測驗
Reading
測驗時間60分鐘
測驗方式為填空與選擇測驗題數，三大題合計約有四十小題。通常內容來自報紙、雜誌、書本、期刊居多。

的成績分為上列四項，皆會獨立計分，而最後再以四項分數總合，除以四的平均分數，讓學生知道在各項目的英文能力現況。
