CONFORMANCE & NON-CONFORMANCES (CNC)

　

When requested, shipments to AWIE are to be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance that contains the part number, the shipment quantity, the date, the packing slip number, and a statement of conformance to the purchase order requirements. Raw material shall be accompanied by a test report of chemical and physical test values showing conformance to applicable specifications.

Non-conformances Found at AWIE Inc. Any product non-conformances found at AWIE will be cause for rejection of the shipment and will count against the quality rating for the supplier. The supplier will be informed of the nonconformance to allow for future corrections.

Corrective Action Requests Whenever the rejection is considered serious enough, or is a repetition of a previous rejection, the supplier will be issued a corrective action request. The supplier is expected to take immediate action to contain the problem and then provide a root cause analysis and corrective action.

Pre-Approval of Non-conformances Suppliers are not Authorised to accept product non-conformances to AWIE's requirements. To avoid rejections and the accompanying impact to the quality rating and to avoid unnecessary delays in product schedules, the supplier should send in the completed form contained on the last page of this document to the AWIE Buyer whenever a minor nonconformance is encountered at the supplier that cannot be corrected.

Return Authorisation Suppliers are expected to provide a Return Material Authorisation, RMA, within 1 working day after notification of rejected material at AWIE.
