[Extreme Martial Arts] Eyes Closed Left Foot Golden Rooster Stands Alone for Over 56 Minutes
This is my longest record!
Sydney Time: August 29, 2025
In the early morning, I once again came to Drew Dog's Rocks, The Grand Parade, Monterey NSW 2217 to practice. The air was cool, with a temperature of 12°C, accompanied by a gentle sea breeze, the entire space was tranquil and clear. I first completed a full set of Tai Chi, adjusting my breathing and body rhythm, naturally opening up my energy channels to lay a solid foundation for the upcoming high-intensity static practice.
Then, I entered the practice of the eyes-closed Golden Rooster Stands Alone. First, I supported myself on my right foot for about 23 minutes, maintaining even breathing, a stable center of gravity, and a relaxed body as one.
After finishing with my right foot, I seamlessly transitioned to the left foot Golden Rooster Stands Alone, starting at 06:35:11 and ending at 07:31:38 due to losing balance, not reaching my physical limit. This segment lasted 56 minutes and 27 seconds (3387 seconds), during which I completed 348 breaths, averaging 9.73 seconds per breath, equivalent to about 6.17 breaths per minute. My breathing was stable, deep, and even, fully entering a state of tranquil flow.
Throughout the process, my heart rate remained stable, with a maximum recorded heart rate of 147 bpm by my smartwatch, and a heart rate of 146 bpm at the end. My body remained completely relaxed, with only a few slight adjustments to my center of gravity, but my left foot remained firmly planted in place, with no movement of the pressure point on the sole. At the end, the altitude data was corrected to about 3 meters, facing east, the sun had risen higher, and the sea surface reflected a brighter glow.
The total time for both feet was nearly 80 minutes, maintaining a posture of holding a ball with both arms throughout the practice, with uninterrupted video recording of the process. Today's left foot Golden Rooster Stands Alone set a new historical record for me, but I clearly know that this is not my physical limit; it ended only due to a slight loss of balance. When I concluded my practice, my breathing remained steady, my heartbeat calm, and my body showed no signs of fatigue, but rather felt light and transparent, as if the entire space had merged into my rhythm.
